As we add new blogs, we will be adding pinpoints on a map to show our progress on our trip. There are so many places, some may not be listed... but we'll try to get it updated as best possible!
Please scroll to the bottom (WAY TO THE BOTTOM!) for a map with Pinpoints of locations we've anchored at and visited. Check the map often for new places we've been!
There are so many of them, you may need to zoom in (+ button) to display all of the islands and ports. You can also use your mouse to "grab" the map and move it around to get to other locations further down the line. The Blue pins indicate places we've been on our initial journey south Nov 2007-June 2008, the Green pins indicate places we've had visitors aboard or visited friends along the way (maybe YOU can be our next green poinpoint!) The Red pins will be our trip north Nov 2008-???.
If you'd like to know the name of a specific location, please click on the pin and a display window will open naming the city or port and additional information about our visit, if any.
We hope to keep this updated as we continue on our journey.
Steamboat Springs and wherever the Ocean takes them..., Colorado, United States
Rick and Suz Bear, the creative force behind the company aptly names Allergic to Cities, have a profound love of things "out there". From SCUBA diving in and sailing on the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean, to kicking around the Rockies from their adopted hometown of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, these two like to be out of the bright lights of the big city and into the less congested lifestyle far off the beaten path. Four daughters ago, they came to Colorado with a desire for something less congested. What they have accomplished since their humble arrival has been rewarding to them beyond their wildest dreams. Now, what they hope for is for us all to find our own place and space... to relax, enjoy the ride, and live in the moment. After all, self expression is what makes us, well, us. They suggest we all stop taking ourselves so seriously.
Life is short. Why not have some fun while we're here.
